Introduction
Are you someone interested in supporting people though organisational and process change? Do you have the experience and enthusiasm to help the House of Commons to mature its approach to change management so that changes – large or small – are implemented to last with great, holistic people support along the way? If you are, the People and Culture Team’s (PACT) Business Change team is looking for people just like you and is now recruiting!
This team was forged during the House of Commons’ Moves Programme () where it was created to support over 1500 parliamentary colleagues in their change journey to hybrid working and a campus of new buildings. The team is now developing into a wider corporate change management function, complementing other change teams in Parliament.
The Role
The Business Change Managers in the team focus on the people side of change, which involves preparing, supporting and equipping people to adopt and transition to a variety of changes. These changes could be to business processes and systems or to team and organisational structures. For example, the team is currently providing change support to the re-structuring of a variety of teams and is also developing some new tools e.g. a new approach to mapping change activity in the organisation and also a self-assessment tool to help teams to action a corporate commitment to better enable those on rotas/shifts working on the Estate to have protected time to engage with a broad range of House activities and learning opportunities.
