Consilium are proud be working with a leading 3PL logistics organisation based in the Birmingham area for a Business Analyst in support of a key customer who are a globally successful Aerospace & Defence business. As the Business Analyst you shall administer the end-to-end request for quotation process for customers MRO s and Third-Party clients. The goal is to ensure the pricing is aligned with the business targets for EBIT, margin and cost reduction. A focus will be placed upon improving delivery performance for RFQs from the clients suppliers into their customers. Commutable from: Birmingham Salary: £ DOE The Role Administer the RFQ process utilising best practice processes to support the needs of the business and customers (Internal and External). Pricing quotes in line with the expected business strategies to ensure EBIT is achieved. Help drive down inventory values by managing MOQs/MOVs and offering EOQs to customers. Working with the customers commercial team to ensure MRO pricing is kept up to date within SAP. Ensuring all records are stored in accordance with our accreditation, AS9120. Maintain the current metrics required by the business to assist in the enhancement of RFQ performance. Work in conjunction with Business Development to devise customer packages for key customers and using strategic pricing methods to ensure all prospective orders are secured. Challenge Supplier quotes using historic financial data, to ensure the business is procuring parts at the most economical rates. Develop and support Point of Use reporting tools to ensure Global Spares processes are effectively managed to deliver excellent customer service. Collate and report prompt and accurate information to the business in agreed timeframes. The Person Experience of the Aerospace industry or low volume/high technology industry would be advantageous but not essential A background analysing metrics and utilsing SAP (or similar software) Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels both internally and externally. An advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word Experienced negotiator with strong influencing skills Commercially astute with a solid understanding of business processes An appreciation and basic understanding of production engineering/design engineering A Self-motivator with good problem-solving skills If you would like to know more about the Business Analyst role, please send a current CV to Neil Cayley
