Our extensive network enables us to provide a comprehensive supply chain management service covering the whole of the UK and Ireland. We are now recruiting for a Business Analyst on a full time basis. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 Location: Flexible across our network Job Description The purpose of a Business Analyst is to design, develop and implement Warehouse Management and Transport Management Systems and enhance existing systems to support operational efficiencies and improvements. Key Duties of a Business Analyst: Undertake and plan project activities for the development-implementation of new clients, sites, applications enhancements and upgrades: Business & system analysis & design, development, system testing for warehouse management systems, transport management systems and EDI integration. Analyses project activities / enhancement requests for both business and technical producing proposal/design documents for peer-review. Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, recommending improvements Specifies user/system interfaces and translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Assists in identifying and assessing risks to the success of the project. Prepares and controls project and quality plans and tracking activities against the plans. Lead the IT work stream during the UAT phase supporting both internal colleagues and external clients to ensure successful completion to deadline. Proactive time management required and adherence to deadlines. Pro-active support to minimize downtime to live applications. i.e. by identifying and resolving underlying issues and liaising with external vendors as required. Gain a full and complete understanding of the business so that practical and effective support is supplied to the user and all business areas are fully supported Qualifications A full driving license is required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, acting as the conduit between the business users and IT. Experience of developing business systems such as Finance, Warehouse, Transport Management and ERP systems. Good management, interpersonal and team skills. Demonstrable experience of involvement in a full project lifecycle including requirements elicitation / documentation, testing, UAT support, change management and live implementations. Must be capable of participating in concurrent multiple projects. BCS or equivalent qualification in Business Analysis is desirable but not essential.
