We’re hiring an Application Security Architect as part of our Global Technology team based in Manchester or London and operate under flexible working conditions.

Purpose of the Role

As a senior member of the Architecture team, you will be helping to enhance and maintain the security of dentsu. Your focus will be embedding security within the software development lifecycle by working with teams across the business, giving advice, guidance, setting standards and creating blueprints.

With a wide range of technologies and tooling, you’ll need to apply experience, knowledge, and good security practise to ensure approaches are pragmatic and practical.

As the domain lead for application security within architecture, you will need to:

• define and communicate the aspirational state for development / application security together with intermediate stages from our present position.

• support other team members as a subject matter expert.

• build application development and tooling knowledge within the security team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop the strategies to protect dentsu’s systems and environments from the evolving cyber threats.

• Partner with dentsu Security and Technology teams to develop and implement application security standards, patterns and guidelines that support ongoing deliveries.

• Provide advice that balances risks with business benefits.

• Champion initiatives to support a Secure by Design mindset and organisation reuse.

• Review the design and effectiveness of application security controls and develop a program of continuous improvement to grow local capabilities.

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise for key project deliveries, problem resolution and risk management.

• Educate, and support dentsu to understand the changing application security threat landscape.

• Lead and mentor others to support and enable the business securely.

• Support and grow the maturity of application security and architecture through partnerships on Dentsu key deliverables.

• Uphold dentsu values and behaviours.

Qualifications + Skills

• The ability to build and grow relationships with business and technical stakeholders to advance application security goals.

• Extensive experience in a range of Application Security areas such as: Application Development, Dev(Sec)Ops, cloud services, pen-testing, containers, orchestration and app/micro services.

• A broad experience and awareness of other information / cyber security areas: such as risk and governance, IAM, network security, OS’s, encryption, privilege access management, etc.

• Creative problem solver. With the ability to analyse problems from multiple perspectives, enable all stakeholders’ views to be understood and deliver consensus-based outcomes.

• CISSP or equivalent security certification or experience.

• The ability to communicate complex security issues to business stakeholders and others.

• Strategic thinking that can help matures the organisations security posture and approach.

Be an ambassador for the business, connecting across internal and external networks to deliver the operating model and build the brand reputation of dentsu international.
