Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join a science and technology organisation that operate in the defence industry. The company work across multiple domains including defence (Land, Air, Maritime) Cyber and Intelligence on lots of exciting projects.

You will be work on a project that revolves around a Royal Navy Airborne Surveillance and Control (ASaC) Helicopter and will be providing technical engineering support. You will find yourself covering a range of different maintenance tasks which involve forward and base operating of the aircraft and working on it while it’s flying, taking off and landing.

You will be working from an airbase near Salisbury and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and develop into and array of different areas across the airfield and wider.

Main Responsibilities

Operating on the aircraft while it’s flying, during take-off and landing
Ensure that the Merlin/CROWSNEST aircraft/equipment maintenance and trials flying are carried out efficiently and to quality in accordance with regulatory and corporate procedures
Completion of tasking within the scheduled time and at an appropriate quality
Ensuring that you have the appropriate tools and equipment to carry out assigned tasks

Key Skills & Experience

Experience working on Merlin Mk2 or Mk4 or similar rotary-wing aircrafts
BTEC Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent
