Hays Engineering are delighted to be partnering with this leading power generation company located in Hull in their recruitment of an Electrical Technician. This role is permanent, full time and days.

Your new role

• The electrical Technician will work as part of a dedicated maintenance team responsible for the maintenance of electrical apparatus and auxiliary equipment, fault diagnosis, project work and supervision of contractors
• Working within a disciplined team and reporting into the Electrical Engineer, you will have a strong electrical background with HV experience and be able to plan, assess and perform work under site safety rules
• You will be using computerised maintenance management systems regularly (CMMS).
• You will be working in accordance with site procedures and maintenance strategies to ensure operational performance is maintained
• You will ensure maintenance targets are achieved safely, commercially and within strict environmental limits.

What you’ll need to succeed

• You will have a strong electrical background with HV experience
• You will be competent in the use of CMMS
• You will have a background in power generation or a process based environment
• A HNC or equivalent in a related discipline or craft based apprenticeship is preferred for this role.
• You must be computer literate and a flexible team player with a safety first attitude
