We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Procurement & Supply Chain Leader in our Process Automation Business to join our team in the UK or Spain, Italy or Germany to cover our Europe region. As a key member of the Process Automation Leadership team, in this role you will have the opportunity to support the Line of Business, by leading the Europe Procurement organisation for the line of business, dedicated to pre-sales activities and projects execution with our main mission to deliver international turnkey projects to our client base. In this role you will: Be the lead representative of the Schneider Electric Process Automation procurement function across a wide range of industry sectors including Energy and Chemical (oil and gas), pharmaceutical, power and nuclear, food and beverage as well as water and utilities and automotive Be responsible and accountable for the end-to-end Project Procurement performance for Process Automation in your region, driving the strategy and transformations required to ensure business growth and savings including the performance of the global Project Procurement organisation Manage operationally the end-to-end Project Procurement in Customer Projects, including participation in Business review, Pre-sales re-sale support, Sourcing/Purchasing in project execution, Strategy Planning, Export Control, Forecasting & Logistics/ Packaging Contribute to the Project business excellence by optimisation of Project Procurement through the Tailored/ customised Project Procurement approach. Provide purchased goods and services on the best available parameters of cost, time, quality, safety and sustainability, and ensure that the specific added value is recognized by the customers Develop a strong, high performing and commercially focused team with resale capability to secure best competitive cost from key suppliers to support the pre-sales win rates to increase our installed base to the grow the business Work closely with Regional/ Cluster Leadership to improve and support operational costs initiatives/savings and competitiveness and create a purchasing strategy based on business strategy, business grow and outcome Be part of the Project and Tender management to create customized purchasing proposals at Tender and Execution stages. Secure supplier selection and qualification on a Total Cost of Ownership basis, to meet customer’s needs, using best skills and technology while minimizing cost and maximizing service levels. To be successful for this role you should: Have significant, demonstrable experience in a similar leadership role, ideally within a multi-geographical or global environment Have experience and understanding of trade compliance, logistics, tax systems, binding and non-binding offers Ideally hold Supply Chain Certifications such as CPSM or ISM Knowledge and experience within the European market Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must along with exceptional presentation and delivery skills Be willing to travel At Schneider Electric, Diversity & Inclusion is at the heart of our organisation, it’s an integral part of our history, culture, and identity.
