Job Description:

REED Engineering are partnered with a global organisation with 50 offices around the world, who are looking to add a new Field Service Engineer to their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to their clients in the manufacturing industry. This will include commissioning of machinary on customers sites, training customers in machine usage, and providing maintenance support. The role involves travelling to various manufacturing sites around England and Wales, with travel requirements of 50% time. Mostly in South Wales, the midlands, and north England.

You will be working for a business who have an excellent reputation in their sector and provide Engineering solutions to the construction industry on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support to clients in the manufacturing industry.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
• Provide training to clients on the use of equipment.
• On site customer support regarding Splicing Machines.
• Commissioning / Decommissioning for all Engineering Equipment
• Documentation of Documentation for all Engineering Equipment
• Customer training for all equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar field based engineering role.
• Considering applicants with biases in either of the following; Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic experience.
• Experience of working in a similar industry / heavy industry setting; Steel/rolling mills/Engineering type industry experience.
• Experience of providing preventative maintenance solutions and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
