Fully Qualified Full Time Class 2 HGV Mechanic, for one of our clients. Location Northampton The person suitable for this role need to be able to work on class 2 vehicles, 3.5t vans / small lorries and plant and equipment, mini diggers, generators etc, the person needs to be competent in all of these areas up to pre MOT Stage, including 6/8 weekly checks on the class 2 etc. You will carry out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and provide technical support from fault analysis. You will provide technical work to the highest standards in line with strict health and safety requirements for equipment, machines, and tools. You will have an in-depth knowledge of class 2 vehicles, small pickup trucks, 3.5t vans, workshop plant and equipment, mini diggers & generators etc. Carry out servicing and repairs in a safe and economical manner. Test vehicles and diagnose faults as and when required. Maintenance on all vehicles. Ensure that all work carried out is to MOT and/or manufacturers’ safety standards. Ensure maximum use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic, and safe service/repair of all our vehicles. Skills Required: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 Maintenance and Repairs. Proven three years’ experience in a similar role. A strong knowledge and understanding of routine servicing and basic mechanical repairs. Good communication skills. Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a competent, safe and efficient manner. Ability to accurately complete paperwork with high attention to detail in a timely manner. Proactive and results driven across all aspects of work. Full UK Driving License. Hours of work. Needs to be flexible for callouts and emergency including the odd weekend when required
