At CIM BUSINESS CENTRE, we are looking for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our professional team of housekeepers. This is a great position as you’ll be helping to lead and develop our team whilst maintaining great standards of housekeeping for our clients / delegates and colleagues.

CIM Business Centre at Moor Hall is a charming 19th Century Manor House with 80 bedrooms, 24 conference rooms and the Edinburgh Restaurant which seats 140. Moor Hall is also home for The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

About the role:

You’ll be supervising our housekeeping team and ensuring work is carried out to the standards required. You’ll be servicing bedrooms for our Conference Centre and assist the Front of House Manager in training staff and developing our team.

You’ll be working 35 hours each week, covering 5 out of the 7 days.

In a typical day, you might:

• Manage the Housekeeping team, including allocating rooms to be cleaned
• Work as part of the Housekeeping team
• Clean and service bedrooms
• Clean & keep tidy general areas
• Assist with packing laundry
• Check the team’s bedrooms/bathrooms are cleaned to the required standards
• Complete the staff register & ongoing training with new and existing members of the team
• Liaise with Reception and the Management team
• To report maintenance issues and to check their completion within Marlow Court

For this role, you’ll need:

• This is an active role so you will need to be physically fit enabling all aspects of the role to be carried out
• Ability to multitask and drive standards
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work on your own as well as a team player
• Self-motivated
• Basic computer skills
• Basic Health and safety knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience in hotel or similar housekeeping role is desirable but training will be given
