All About the Role In this role, you will work with the site management teams and the Group H & S Team, to develop and promote a positive culture across the group; this will include developing and supporting the implementation of the Group Safety Management System; Providing professional support and advice, working with the Operations Managers and Business Heads to ensure that all areas of H&S legislation, policy and strategy are implemented at site level. Key tasks will include: To ensure compliance with Group Policies and with all relevant legislation To work as part of the group team to develop and monitor the implementation of the Group SMS To support the implementation of the annual Site Health & Safety Improvement Plans Act as focal point for allocated sites reporting, communication, tracking of all defect reports and H&S improvement actions Help to identify and share best practices and to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business in respect of the overall Health & Safety Management System Provide guidance and support to operations staff for Risk Assessments, local safe working procedures and incident investigations To record and analyse incidents and H&S performance, reporting KPIs and communicating performance effectively some of which can be carried out remotely by CCTV review Ensuring that training and professional qualifications are maintained to ensure ongoing professional competence To fully support your allocated sites, so regular visits to your sites will be essential (you may also need to travel to other sites within the Group). This could well lead to overnight stays. Experience Required Ideally NEBOSH Diploma qualified or equivalent. Experience in a logistics, steel stock holding or manufacturing background. Strong skills within Word & PowerPoint with experience Excel and advantage. Good presentation skills Able to influence/guide colleagues at all levels in the business. Able to problem solve. Strong communication skills, including the ability to organise and hold effective meetings. Good time management and organisation skills. Good team support with strong self-motivation when working alone.
