Job Description We are hiring a Human Resources Advisor to provide HR support to our IPS and Great Bear teams. You’ll primarily be based at our fantastic site in Markham Vale, however there will be a requirement to travel to other sites on a regular basis. This is a great opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor who is looking to work in a fast paced environment, providing a proactive HR service to site management teams and assisting the Senior HR Business Partner. This is a varied, generalist role, where you will gain invaluable, hands-on experience to really develop your HR career with a growing business. We’re looking for someone who is adaptable and flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi-task and juggle a number of priorities. You should be confident in providing HR guidance and advice to line managers, with a good, working understanding of HR polices and procedures. Job Description Key Duties for the Human Resources Advisor: Act as the first point of contact for all HR related queries. Provide case management, ER support to the HRBP team. Prepare and collate case packs. Provide HR guidance and advice to line managers as appropriate. Assist in the mediation and resolution of employee relations issues. Conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary. Provide accurate data and statistics in a clear, concise format. Run reports and keep accurate records. Attend disciplinary/grievance/absence related meetings as required. Provide support to the HRBP on HR operational projects, such as restructuring, TUPE and other project work. Take accurate notes and minutes at meetings. Letter writing, such as changes to terms and conditions, invites and outcomes to hearings. Support the HRBP with site initiatives, such as engagement, morale building, retention, resourcing etc. Build trusted relationships with the site teams and management. Support HR administrative tasks as necessary. Provide skeleton holiday cover for HRBP as required. Provide holiday cover for other HR Advisors as required. Qualifications CIPD Level 3 and above would be preferred. A sound understanding of UK HR legislation. A working knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Experience in advising on HR matters (such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Adaptable and flexible. Happy to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Great communicator at all levels. Excellent IT skills including MS Office packages. Experience of using a HR or Recruitment system would be beneficial. Willing to support other sites / business areas. Flexible with regards to travel to other sites. Full UK Driving Licence.
