The plans for 2023 and beyond are as exciting as they are delicious – growing the product range to serve a growing community, scaling our teams and expanding the production space in Blackhorse Road (The Greenhouse) The allplants team is ready to scale their inclusive celebration of food to the next level and is looking for talent like you to join its journey.

The role:

We are looking for a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead and develop our existing team. This role oversees end to end, sourcing and purchasing of our raw materials and packaging. You’ll be responsible for maximising material availability, security and unit economics as well as balancing inventory across a multi-site network. Additionally, you will also be responsible for managing all of our logistics and supply chain involved in getting our meals from our kitchen to our allplanters either via DTC or retail. All of this needs to be done with the customer in mind to ensure great customer experience with every part of their interaction with allplants.

The main areas of responsibility for this role include:

Procurement: The purchasing of 200 ingredients across fresh, frozen and ambient, along with all of our packaging and sundry items from over 60 suppliers. Ensuring we have consistency of supply secured at a cost that keeps us in line with our unit economics.

Supply chain planning and risk assessment, take the longer view when reviewing our Supply and ensuring we have robust commercial agreements with contingencies in place for all key items.

Supply Chain Management, oversee the management of our 3PL partner and Retail/B2B supply chains to maintain strong OTIF performance and costs in line with budget.

It’s a strategic role and we need someone who knows how to and is excited by the challenge of scaling and levelling up a function from the perspective of people, process and technology. However you will still be a key member of our operational team and therefore still be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when required.

This is a permanent opportunity, with an annual salary of £70,000 – £85,000 DOE

What you’ll bedoing

• Build strong relationships with all other functions within allplants along with our suppliers and partners.
• Focus on margin and efficiency – use a strong entrepreneurial spirit to drive gains as a key custodian of ingredient COGS and LogOps costs
• Assess all of our processes and upgrade where required to set the solid foundations for growth.
• Lead the way with planning our expansion into new categories and markets. Preempting the challenges and ensuring we have the infrastructure to meet the demands.
• Ensure consistency of supply via a 99.5% OTIF service level for inbound raw materials and packaging and outgoing deliveries.
• Strategically risk assess our supply chain to ensure it is robust by identifying and managing bottlenecks. To ensure we are able to meet 100% YoY growth and market challenges.
• Promote a continuous improvement philosophy and culture of quality, encouraging team participation in improvement initiatives

• You can influence others and get things done, even when you don’t have the reins
• You have strong written communication skills and are able to craft messages in a concise, clear and structured way
• You have solid personal organisation, planning and scheduling skills
• You are encouraged by a challenge and keen to build something from the ground up
