JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager SALARY: 45-50k + Bonus LOCATION: Manchester Area We have a fantastic opportunity for Business Development Manager to join a logistics company growing at an incredible rate. Still a young business they have achieved multi-million pound year on year growth and are beginning to increasingly disrupt their market. With growth the main objective this company is looking for a skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Managing Director your aim will be to create new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and ensuring the successful acquisition of new accounts. The role has a relaxed hybrid approach with 1 day in the office, but this is not compulsory. It has the promise of a generous commission scheme and huge potential for progression they have invested in an advanced operations team and system. So client retention will be made easy for you to deliver the highest standards possible to your clients. The ideal candidate will have: At least 5 years experience in logistics (Air & Sea freight) Proven tracker record in sales in the industry Self motivated Positive mindset & attitudeMain Responsibilities: Achieving Sales Targets: Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and revenue goals, contributing to the company’s overall growth. Client Acquisition: Actively prospect and engage with potential clients through various channels, utilising current networks, events, and referrals. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders to enhance the organisation’s reputation and market presence. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreement Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions.
