Clinical Trials Project Manager – Fixed Term Contract – Negotiable on experience – London SE1 (Hybrid-working)

The Role

As a Clinical Project Manager within a Cancer Prevention Trials Unit, the role extends beyond mere oversight. This role requires an individual with a deep expertise in clinical trial management, combined with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders. Strong leaderships skills will be required to guide a team of Trial Managers, data management, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic planning and oversight, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
Provide training and supervision to both internal and external staff members.
Effectively communicate the medical and scientific rationale of the trial.
Manage trial contracts and negotiations with suppliers, and oversee financial aspects.
Reviewing submissions for ethics, and Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG).
Establish and maintain compliance with trial procedures and standards.
Leading project meetings and producing timely reports.
Ensuring complete, accurate, and up to date trial data collection.
Lead and manage a trial team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

The Person

Holder of a degree or Higher National Diploma in a life science or numerate discipline, or a professional qualification.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Data Protection Act, and clinical trial regulations.
Boasts substantial experience in managing large or complex clinical trials.
Displays proven project management skills within a research setting.
Well-versed in operations and logistics planning.
Brings experience of collaborating with third party vendors.
Possesses exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Offers a track record of successful line management and leadership.
