Warehouse Operative (HGV Class 2 Driver)

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Salary: £30K – £35K (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Monday – Friday

Our client, one of the major Steel Distributors in the UK, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative with HGV Class 2 licenseto join their dynamic team. As a key member of the driving team, you’ll transport steel loads from Chelmsford to diverse destinations including Herts, Essex, London, SE London, SE Kent, SW Surrey and Sussex.

Comprehensive training, including obtaining an FLT license if necessary, will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading vehicles, along with preparing stock for dispatch.
• Safely deliver steel goods to specified locations
• Efficiently complete around 7/8+ drops daily
• Handle potential heavy lifting (up to 15kgs) and commencing at 5am

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver.
• Hold a valid HGV Class Two license,
• Possess current CPC, and Digi Card.
