This Stoke-on-Trent based tech company is involved in building complex data management and software products for well-known companies around the world!

As the Facilities Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of four sites. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility maintenance, including equipment, systems, services, and space planning.

What will you do?

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our four building estate, including site security, general building maintenance, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management plan, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency of all company facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues, and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring quality service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to agreed-upon SLAs.
• Monitor and manage facility budgets, including maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditures, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency preparedness plans, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as legal and compliance, HR and IT, to support facility-related needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in facilities management, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Effective line management of a team of 2.

What will you need?

• Proven experience in facilities management, with experience managing a multi-site estate.
• Relevant facilities management certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, vendor contracts, and project timelines.
• Proficient computer user, and the ability to understand health and safety/legal documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proactive and can-do attitude.
